We live in a time where climate change is at the forefront of the political agenda, constantly taking action towards decreasing the carbon footprint for a more sustainable future. Countries like China, aim to spend up to 361 billion on renewable energies by 2020. Similarly, companies are taking on corporate responsibility. Research is focusing on developing clean technology, improving the efficiency, costs and pollution standards and in finding ways to apply these technologies in modern cities.
The increased worldwide awareness and the current advances in technology are making a difference on the ecosystems and the lives of individuals in less economically developed countries. Furthermore, where the demand on resources and finances is high in an economic recession, solutions brought by the clean tech will prove to be not only beneficial for sustainability but also for the revitalization of the economy.
In this situation, academia and industry define together a new paradigm to innovate and benefit humanity as a whole, through sustainable and cleaner technological solutions.
Don't miss the opportunity to learn more about innovation and sustainability from the current leaders in the fields brought to you by Imperial College London Innovation Forum. The event will be followed by a networking session with finger food and nibbles for the attendees.
