I am an undergraduate Natural Sciences student at University College London specialising in Biomedical Sciences combined with Organic Chemistry. As of now, I have a particular interest in neuropharmacology and the progressive research into the treatment of diseases of the brain, and am eager to pursue hands-on research experiences in these areas.
Following my degree, I am enthusiastic apply these areas of biological knowledge to the business and law aspects that govern the life sciences industry. Intellectual property especially is an exciting field that I'd love to pursue, as obtaining IP rights for new developments directly translate to driving further investment and innovation into science.These interests and pursuits are what motivated me to join the Innovation Forum, and I hope to garner a greater understanding and insight into field of the biotech and healthcare industry.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I enjoy fulfilling my society role as a Director of Podcasting for a life sciences podcast, as it's an incredibly unique opportunity talk to scientific professionals and learn about novel areas of scientific developments. Translating and publishing these complex concepts to be heard by a general audience is very fulfilling since it promotes the accessibility of science to the wider audience.
