Ana-Maria Ivanus
Business Development Associate
Ana is a 3rd-year PhD student at UCL and King’s College London as part of the London Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme, where she's developing new organic semiconductor-based contrast agents for imaging in cancer and ageing diseases. Prior to her PhD, she moved from Romania to the UK in 2016 to pursue an Integrated Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, specialising in Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences.
Beyond research, Ana is interested in inclusive knowledge transfer, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and venture building. She completed several Biobusiness courses led by Dr Renos Savva at Birkbeck, University of London, took part in the Young Entrepreneurs Scheme, and is a rolling talent strategy intern at Start Codon, Cambridge. She joined the Innovation Forum as a Business Development Lead in February 2023.
