Hai is a PhD student at the Department of Perinatal Imaging and Health at King's College London. His project aims at characterising abnormal early brain development associated with psychiatric disorders using neuroimaging and machine learning.

He completed a BSc. in Neuroscience at King's College London and had previously interned as lab assistant at Department of Developmental Neurobiology (King's) and Department of Pathogen Molecular Biology (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). During which time, he assumed voluntary positions at several students associations; as Vice President for the Bioscience Students' Association and most recently, instructor for the King's Artificial Intelligence Society.
